Heidi M. Williams is a photographer and filmmaker, collage artist, plant-based food enthusiast, wellness junkie, and naturopath. She’s been in the industry for over a decade with no plans to retire. Born and raised in Utah, Heidi currently resides in the Salt Lake Valley with her two daughters and husky pup. She loves spending time outdoors; hiking, climbing, camping, foraging, sunbathing, stargazing, grounding, and enjoying time around a fire. She enjoys singing and movement, and listening to music at all hours of the day. Her simple pleasures include chopping vegetables, candlelight, salt baths, evening walks, the sound of rain, chai tea, Indian and Thai cuisine, esoteric practice, thrifting, comedy, stillness, and connection.

  • My shooting style is very laid back, I want the entire process to feel as natural and easeful as possible. I can be as involved or invisible as you’d like me to be - whether you prefer having some direction or you just want me to capture the moments as they unfold.

    Client satisfaction is my top priority. For film projects specifically, as there are so many moving parts, it’s essential for us to consult briefly by phone so I can have crystal clear understanding as to what you’re looking for and answer any questions you may have. I’m open to receiving direction and any creative input you may want to share.

  • Yes! I have pricing guidelines but they are customizable based on your specific wants and needs. I can be there for as long, or as little, as you need me to be - whether you need photo, video, or both. Email or DM me the details and we can create the perfect package for you.

  • Payment is required upon booking/invoice receipt for retainment unless otherwise specified ie payment plan agreement for larger packages - this serves as a reservation and commitment of compensation for my time and services. Please inquire regarding cancellations and rescheduling. You can book through me directly via email or DM, or you can book on this site.

  • Upon completion of a session, your photographs and videos will be uploaded to a private online gallery where you can view and download your media directly onto any device at full resolution.

    You will also receive a media release statement which grants you usage rights to all media created and delivered. Please note: HM PHOTO & FILM retains copyright and may use the content for portfolio, marketing, and promotional purposes.

  • Short-form video content refers to brief, vertical videos designed for quick, engaging consumption on social media, such as TikToks, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

    Depending on your requested video project, I can produce content that suits your needs by customizing/exporting your media with a specified aspect ratio for desired use for social media reels, websites, and other platforms.
